The brief
-
We were asked by a construction company to carry out a series of Combined Sound Insulation Testing and Air Pressure Testing for some residential properties in Warwick
-
The Sound Tests were Airborne Wall tests
-
To pass an Airborne test for new build properties you must score 45db or hig her
-
Airborne tests measure the difference in sound levels between the receiver room and neighbouring walls or floors
-
If the sound output in the receiver room is 100db and the sound leakage being passed through into the neighbouring room is 40db, then the result would be 60 and therefore would be a pass
The process
- After our technicians calculated the areas of the apartments on site, testing was ready to be carried out. All calibrated equipment was setup in accordance to our strict procedures to ensure the most accurate result possible
