The brief
- UK Building Compliance were asked to complete an array of services on this development in Exmouth
- UKBC provided an Environmental Noise Survey, SAP, SBEM and Water Calculations
The process
- Two sound level meters were used and were attached to separate lamp posts: one adjacent to a local road and the other at the north-western perimeter of the site
- These monitoring locations were chosen to collect sound levels during both daytime and at night
- SAP& SBEM were performed ensuring they meet Part L of the Building Regulations
The results
- SAP RESULTS
Target Emission Rate (TER)
Target Fabric Energy Efficiency (TFEE)
- SBEM RESULTS
Target Emission Rate (TER)
Dwelling Emission Rate (DER)
Dwelling Fabric Energy Efficiency (DFEE)
Building Emission Rate (BER)
-
Compliant
-
SAP and SBEM results complied with Building Regulations
-
The location was deemed suitable for the construction project, with the condition that the specific Sound Insulation Scheme we recommended was followed
-
Planning Approval was granted
-
We achieved a Water Efficiency Rate of 109.65 Litres per person per day, the Target being ≤ 110L
