The brief
- UK Building Compliance were appointed to undertake an L2B SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) Calculation for a proposed extension to a commercial property in Swadlincote, Derbyshire
The process
- We assisted with the specification of heating systems, Glazing U-value, Thermal Insulation, lighting design and ventilation systems in order to demonstrate compliance with Part L2B of the Building Regulations
THE RESULT
- Compliant
The buildings use factor as a residential care home resulted in an unusually high hot water demand for a commercial property. Whilst this caused some initial compliance issues, UK Building Compliance worked with the client in order to find a viable solution which involved switching heating fuels - resulting in Part L Compliance.
