The brief
-
We completed a SAP Assessment and Full Building Testing for this property in London
-
The Building Testing included New Build Air Testing, Ventilation Testing and we also did a test for sound which is called a Sound Insulation Tes t
-
Building Certification included a SAP Assessment and we also completed Water Usage Calculations
-
The Sound Test was an Airborne Wall test
-
To pass an Airborne test for new build properties you must score 45db or hig her
-
Airborne tests measure the difference in sound levels between the receiver room and neighbouring walls or floors
-
If the sound output in the receiver room is 100db and the sound leakage being passed through into the neighbouring room is 40db, then the result would be 60 and therefore would be a pass
The process
-
After reviewing drawings, on site testing was ready to be completed. In accordance with our strict air tightness testing procedure and sound testing procedure, all calibrated equipment was setup to ensure the most accurate result possible
-
This was a very modern building where we had to check the building specification carefully to ensure it was feasible
-
Our consultants guided the customer to ensure compliance was met

Compliant
-
The building’s Sound Test achieved an extremely good score which shows a very good level of Sound Insulation
-
The Ventilation Certification was issued with no problems, demonstrating that their ducting is effective and that the ventilation system is powerful
-
The Water Usage Calculations were at 122.67 Litres per person per day, the Target being ≤ 125L
-
Our SAP Certification combined with our Full Testing package offers excellent value
