The brief

  • An Architect Company asked UKBC to carry out an Energy Statement at 7 supported living units in Worcester

The process

  • The Energy Statement complies with the South Worcestershire Development Plan 2016

  • The Target being to meet at least 10% of the predicted energy requirements via renewable energy or low carbon heating

  • This was achieved via the recommendation of air source heat pumps to provide both space and water heating to the units

  • 86% of primary regulated energy demand was met via low carbon heating

  • This led to a 29.69% reduction in the DER over the TER and a 5.05% reduction in the DFEE over the TFEE
