Select a site readiness checklist that suits your needs
We send the relevant checklist with every booking confirmation, but you can request copies any time — they’re written for site managers and contractors, not engineers.
Air Tightness Testing — Domestic
- External envelope complete: walls, roof, ground floor, doors, windows, cladding.
- All fixtures and fittings installed.
- Plumbing complete and service penetrations sealed.
- Skirting boards fitted and sealed top and bottom.
- Loft hatches fitted with draft excluders.
- Integral garage doors sealed.
- At least one standard doorway (max 2.25m × 1.1m) for the test fan.
Air Tightness Testing — Commercial
- Building envelope and curtain walling complete.
- All service penetrations through the envelope sealed.
- Internal doors hung; fire doors fitted.
- Suspended ceilings installed where applicable.
- Test rig location agreed with site team in advance.
Ventilation Testing (Part F)
- All extract fans installed and commissioned.
- Ducting complete to the outside terminal.
- Mains power available at all extraction points.
- Kitchen hob hood vented externally (not recirculating filter).
- Property substantially clean of construction dust.
Sound Insulation Testing (Part E)
- Property substantially complete: floor finishes, skirting, doors, windows.
- All sockets, switches and penetrations sealed.
- Mains power available.
- Adjacent units quiet during testing.
- Access to both source and receiver rooms.
