Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of the UK Building Compliance website and the services we provide. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Company Information

2. Services

We provide building regulations compliance services including, but not limited to, SAP calculations, SBEM calculations, air tightness testing, sound insulation testing, ventilation testing, energy performance certificates, asbestos surveys, and related consultancy services.

All services are provided in accordance with the relevant industry standards and accreditations held by our assessors and technicians.

3. Quotations and Pricing

Quotations provided by UK Building Compliance are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work changes from the original brief.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at the rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their project, including plans, specifications, and access arrangements. Clients must ensure that properties are ready for testing in accordance with our site readiness requirements. Failure to provide adequate preparation may result in additional charges for re-visits.

6. Cancellation

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a cancellation charge. The amount will be confirmed at the time of booking.

7. Reports and Certificates

All reports and certificates are produced in accordance with the relevant standards and regulations. Reports are issued to the client who commissioned the work. UK Building Compliance retains copies of all reports for our records.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from the provision of our services shall be limited to the fee paid for those services. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the use of our services, reports, or certificates. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of UK Building Compliance Ltd and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.
